When buying a home, applying for a mortgage loan is exasperating for most people, but it doesn't have to be. I have close working relationships with several lending companies in the Jensen Beach area, and they've helped me understand some things that can make the process of applying for a loan a breeze.

1 – Create a list of questions about your loan program

If you find that you do not perfectly understand the advantages and disadvantages of all the different loan programs, make sure to have a list of questions. 3 – Determine if you want to pay additional points to decrease your interest rate

Oftentimes you can choose to pay additional points to lower the interest rate of your mortgage loan. Each point is 1 percent of the loan and is payable in cash at the time of closing.
